If I Stop The Beat, Galerie Miyu, Paris, 2023
For my solo exhibition at Miyu Gallery in October 2023, I presented a collection of painted scenes from daily life. Moments that are both trivial and precious, accumulated like a visual diary. Each piece served as a symbolic marker of time, transforming personal memory into a form of self-fiction. The vocabulary I developed in this piece is characterised by bright colours, strong brushstrokes and graphic lines.
Alongside these pictorial notes, I am showing Spinning Days, a short film created through the animation of my paintings. Using stop-motion, I grant these static memories a sense of duration and movement. This moving surface allows me to play with the tension between revealing and concealing my most intimate thoughts.
By constantly transforming the past into the present, I sought to express an open intimacy that extended to portraying my generation.
