Knots in my Head, 2025

Stop-motion, 2min loop. Sound design : Fahrad Farzali.

A video-poem repeating everyday actions, thoughts that become entangled and return at every street corner, every traffic light. This animation is made with techniques of monotype and animated oil colour on glass.

Knots in my Head was shown at the exhibition City Pace in the Werkschauhalle, Spinnerei, Leipzig, as a video installation together with a painting installation.

Spinning Days, 2023

Stop-Motion, 11min. Sound design : Teo Comon.

The inner voice of a young woman unfolds. Successively erased and covered up, she recounts intimate moments from her life. As the story unfolds, and through what is left unsaid, a portrait emerges of her relationship with a friend who is a little too close. Using a stop-motion animation technique directly under the camera, with animated paint on paper, I recorded the modifications and overlays of short texts, playing with changes in meaning and exposure.

Spinning Days was shown in festivals such as Porto Femme, Porto – Under the radar, Vienne – Linoleum Festival, Kyiv – Bideodromo Festival, Bilbao -Banjaluka Anima, Bosnie – Unthinkable, Hull- Tokofilmfest, Sala Consilina – Tiete Film award, Sao Paulo – Festival Festimaj, Sevremont – Carrefour de l’animation, Paris Fanzines Festival, Non étoile, Paris – Fol Film Festival, Paris – Video Art Festival Turku, Finlande. Mention Spécial Price from Si Cinéma, France, and screening at the Centre Pompidou Hors Pistes Festival in Paris.
