I console myself, 2025
An installation featured in the group exhibition 02:17 AM at PLAST, Leipzig, alongside Noeul Kim and Anna Rebecca Lerke.
A young man is depicted in a painting, lost in thought and about to write his thoughts in his diary. They are transcribed into an animated painting on the screen to the left. A voice-over, his inner voice, reads them aloud. It is a list of the things he seeks solace in.
In this installation, I explore the connection between the search for comfort, forgiveness, and self-forgiveness. By externalizing this intimate ritual, through painting, writing and stop-motion, I question mechanisms for finding peace.
