City Pace, at Werkschauhalle in Spinnerei, Leipzig, 2025
Graduation exhibition as a Meisterschuelerin (post-master’s student) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig, in the department of Painting and Graphic Arts, class of Kerstin Drechsel.
A frieze of paintings and an animated video, whose looped sound echoes through the exhibition space, set the rhythm for introspective wanderings and repetitive observations and motives, of the city decor where everything got rainy or flooded in a big blue stream.
In this exhibition I associate an intimate voice with an external location: a staged impression of the city, nourished by reconstituted memories and created through a combination of painted images and a writing process.
